Abstract

In the present study aqueous extract of Triticumaestivum(Wheatgrass) was investigated for antimicrobial activity. The microorganisms employed were Bacillus subtilis, Enterococcus faecalis, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidisand Escherichia coli. The Zone of inhibition was determined for concentration ranging from 50 mg/ml to 200 mg/ml (50 mg/ml, 100 mg/ml, 150 mg/ml, and 200 mg/ml). Antibacterial activity tested for well diffusion method.
